23 Jan Campaigning for Cleaner Streets and Play Areas
Play areas, cleanliness of the streets and dog mess are concerns for any parent who wants their children to grow up being able to play outside.
Dog mess and the untidy play areas are unfortunately something most local parents have to worry about.
There is no excuse for not cleaning up after your dog, it’s disgusting and it’s dangerous. Dog faeces carry parasites that can cause serious illness and blindness.
It’s the responsibility of local councils to keep public places like parks, playgrounds and pavements clear of dog mess. Our Council don’t seem to be tackling this effectively.
I will campaign for waste bins in problem areas and for action to be taken against irresponsible dog owners who put the health of others at risk.
