Galley Common Residents Meeting Cancelled

Galley Common Residents Meeting Cancelled

The planned Galley Common Village Residents Association meeting on 12 February 2018 has been cancelled.

The committee have informed me that the February meeting will no longer be going ahead but that they plan to hold a meeting and their AGM at The Stute on Monday 12 March.

I do have some updates to tell you about both locally in Galley Common and across the Borough. We’re working on a number of schemes both at the Borough Council and at Shire Hall.

Galley Common Village Residents Association February meeting cancelled

The GCVRA meeting on 12 February has been cancelled.

We are expecting baby number four in the Gissane house any time now, due 18 Feb, but as always I am happy to meet any residents either individually or as a group if you wish to speak about anything. We can meet for a coffee at Full of Beans or look for somewhere bigger if needed.

A quick Galley Common news roundup for you:

  • Warwickshire County Council have objected to the Taylor Wimpey application to expand the Plough Hill Road site from 262 to 276, and rightly so
  • I have been pushing for the proposed puffin crossing to be installed outside Galley Common Infant School urgently. Plans will be published shortly
  • We have raised enough for for two community defibrillators and secure cabinets. These are fully automated and no training is needed. Thank you all!
  • Heart of England Co-op have agreed for a defibrillator to be installed at their Chesterton Drive store and will pay for the electrician to install it

We’ve had a few meetings cancelled and haven’t had one for a few months now but I am more than happy to look into holding regular councillor surgeries if enough of you want it, please do let me know and I can look for a venue.

Sam Croft is our Nuneaton Conservatives candidate for Galley Common in the upcoming Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council elections in May 2018. I’ll be out and about with Sam delivering his leaflets over the coming months. You can follow Sam on Twitter and hopefully meet him at the next GCVRA meeting in March.
