09 May My Main Priorities To Get Working On
One of my main priorities to get started on as your County Councillor for Galley Common is to continue to campaign for safer roads throughout the Galley Common Division (includes Whittleford, The Shires estate, Church Farm and a part of Stockingford).
I will now have an annual budget for road improvements across the ward and will be speaking to Highways officers at Shire Hall as a priority to start the ball rolling.
As well as using my own budget I will continue to reach out to developers like AR Cartwright to ensure we have funding from developments to make our roads safer.
I spoke with Cartwright’s re the Tunnel Road development that was approved recently and as a condition of approval they agreed to funding various traffic calming measures along Tunnel Road as well as funding to improve our parks, another area I need to work on and fight for funding for at NBBC.
With work now underway at the Gladman / Taylor Wimpey site on Plough Hill Road I will meet with Highways Officers to ensure that the conditions of the application are adhered to in relation to the improvements to Plough Hill Road.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if there’s anything you think I may be able to help with.
